Central Illinois is hosting its first CANstruction competition, co-sponsored by the Central Illinois Food Bank, The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum, ABE-FM and AIA Illinois. The final designs, which will follow an Abraham Lincoln theme, are on display at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. Teams of architects, engineers, and students mentored by these professionals compete to design and build giant structures made entirely from full cans of food. At the close of the exhibition, all the canned food used in the structures is donated to local food bank. Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, free, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Through May 3.
